# What each MCPwell tier includes

This is the benefit list the site implements. Featured is $49/mo. Sponsored is $149/mo. Free is $0. Featured and Sponsored are monthly Stripe subscriptions. Every server in `data/catalog.json` has `"tier": null` and `"tier_expires": null`. A placement is shown only when `tier` is `"sponsored"` or `"featured"` and `tier_expires` is an ISO date of today or later. A null tier, a null expiry, or a past expiry is unpaid. Nothing below runs until both fields are set that way.

Paid placements appear first and are labelled Sponsored or Featured; the rest are sorted by GitHub stars. Within Sponsored, and again within Featured, the order is GitHub stars, highest first. Servers with no public GitHub repo follow the unpaid listings, in alphabetical order. A placement does not change listing data or the order of facts. Comparisons do not pick a winner. The description on a card stays the listing description.
