Devin

Devin connects custom STDIO, SSE, and HTTP MCP servers, and installs plugin MCPs from its marketplace. Windsurf has its own page.

What the docs say

The Devin MCP doc says Devin supports 3 transport methods: STDIO, SSE, and HTTP. HTTP on that page is Streamable HTTP. Servers are added from Customize, MCPs, or by installing a plugin whose MCP Devin indexes. Windsurf Cascade is a separate platform page.

Auth. OAuth servers prompt for a URL, and the connection can be organization-wide or personal. Custom SSE and HTTP servers take a URL and headers. STDIO servers take a command, args, and env. The CLI uses devin mcp login for a local OAuth server.

Limits from the docs

Adding a custom MCP server requires the Manage MCP Servers permission.
Test tools works for SSE and HTTP after the server is saved. STDIO is exercised inside a session instead.

Setup

Open Customize, MCPs, Add MCP, then Add custom MCP.
Pick STDIO, SSE, or HTTP and fill in the command or the server URL.
For a plugin MCP, install the plugin, then Connect from Customize, MCPs.

Compatibility rule
